Chilkur Reserve Forest Block with the TSFDC is spread over an area of 100 Ha in Compartment No. 202 Shamshabad Division located on service road between Narsingi RBVRTPA (Police Academy) & Appa Junction. It is having beautiful rock formations specially of balancing boulders on hillocks. The vegetation at present is scrub jungle which is typical of the Deccan plateau. The area is having hilly, terrain, natural streams, water bodies, natural outcrops, local vegetation and fit for development as Urban Forest Park on the line of Nagar Van Scheme.

3 Nos. Rachabandas (Marrichettu Rachabanda, Vepa Chettu Rachabanda & Entrance Rachabanda) are constructed.

The park while under development itself attracting hundreds of visitors. This is a good facility for trekkers, nature lowers, Health seekers for morning walkers and space where the wild animals like National bird peacock will flourish the natural Hydrological cycle will be restored in the area.

Since it is located in most happening place of Narsingi and Rajendra Nagar Municipality in Hyderabad large number of visitors will be using and a good leverage doing good contribution to the society. It will be self-sustainable within 3 months.

As part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) the HDFC Bank has extended cooperation to TSFDC by supporting entire plantation cost in Chilkur Forest Urban Park. An amount of Rs.87.75 lakh is approved under CSR support from HDFC Bank. The TSFDC has taken up 30,000 saplings planting with 28 different types of wild forest species during the 2022-23 planting season.
