ENHANCING FOREST MANAGEMENT THROUGH SOIL SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS TRAINING

The Telangana Forest Development Corporation (TGFDCL) is at the forefront of sustainable forest management, constantly striving to implement innovative and science-based approaches to preserve and enhance forest ecosystems. In line with this vision, TGFDC has been conducting Soil Sampling and Analysis Training Programs for Physical and Chemical properties on a regular basis across the state of Telangana.

These training programs are organized in seven key divisions:

• Kothagudem
• Paloncha
• Sathupally
• Mulugu
• Medak
• Kaghaznagar
• Ranga Reddy

The programs are conducted at the field level and are specifically designed to equip Forest Management Unit Managers with advanced knowledge and practical skills in soil sampling, testing, and analysis. These techniques are crucial for understanding soil health, and nutrient levels, which play a vital role in forest productivity, afforestation efforts, and environmental conservation.

Under the expert guidance of Dr. Koka Srinivas, Research and Development Consultant, participants receive hands-on training in:
