Vriksha Parichay Kshetram – meaning "Introduction to Trees Zone"– is an experiential learning space designed to highlight the profound value of plants and trees in our daily lives, creating a deeper cultural connection with nature.
The Telangana Forest Development Corporation (TGFDC) developed "Vriksha Parichay Kshetram"in 94.88 Acres at Botanical Garden, Hyderabad, an innovative facility designed to connect visitors, especially children, with the wonders of nature. This thoughtfully crafted initiative combines education and recreation, making environmental learning engaging and impactful. This concept, which is a unique botanical paradise on our planet has been developed on area where exotic trees with no biodiversity value were present.
Vriksha Parichaya Kshetram (VPK) is a dedicated space for learning, conserving, and celebrating the diverse world of trees. VPK is a place that connects people with the native, rare, and medicinal plants. By combining education, conservation, and community engagement, we aim to inspire a greener and more sustainable future for all.
This unique facility features 50 forest-themed parks, 7 distinct ecosystems, 18 forest types, and 2 evolution-based concept gardens. This facility is developed with a total project cost of Rs.4.46 Cr. Honourable CM of Telangana inaugurated Vriksha Parichaya Kshethram on 4th December 2024.
