Dr. G. Chandrasekhar Reddy: A 1991 batch Indian Forest Service Officer, is a native of Adilabad District. He is a graduate in B.Sc. Forestry from Osmania and Post Graduate in Life Sciences from JNU, New Delhi. He did his masters in Management and Public Policy from IIM, Bangalore and Syracuse University, USA. He was awarded doctoral degree in Environmental Sciences from Kakatiya University. He has many publications to his credit.

Presently working as Principal Secretary to Hon’ble Chief Minister, Telangana and also in charge Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Telangana Forest Development Corporation Limited in Telangana State. He has 33 years of rich experience in Natural Resources Management and worked in the areas of Forest and Wildlife Management, Watershed based Livelihoods Management, Drought and Flood Mitigation, Forestry and Environment Education and training, Urban Forest Parks development, Yadadri Model High density planting, Eco- Friendly Coal Mining, Bio-Diesel plantations, and Biodiversity Conservation etc.

He worked as Project Director for DFID, JICA and World Bank Aided Livelihoods & Water Sector Projects in the State. He served as Course Coordinator for the 86th and 87th foundation course for IFS officers and Indian Civil Services officer trainees at Dr.MCR HRD conducted under the aegis of LBSNAA Missouri. He is a founder DEAN of Forest College & Research Institute in Telangana and served for 5 years. Currently taking up Eco-Tourism and working on Eucalyptus alternatives for Commercial plantations in State of the Telangana.
